When many of our customers think about roof installation, they think of residential shingle installation. Commercial roof installation is very different than residential installations. From the materials that are used to the tools and methods utilized, it is nearly always a completely different process. Most commercial buildings have flat or very-low-slope roofs. Think about the kind of roofs you see on warehouses, factories, shops, and restaurants. This is the major reason why commercial roof installation is different, and why you need to make sure your roofing contractor has the experience and knowledge needed to install, maintain, and repair your commercial roof.

Most commercial roofs involve multiple layers, including insulation, decking, and various coatings that provide waterproofing, protection, and reflectiveness. There are numerous types of commercial roofing systems available, and at Atlanta Premier Roofing, we can install several different kinds, including TPO and EPDM systems. If you need commercial roof installation, we can evaluate your building and discuss your options.

Commercial roofs also typically have more stuff on them than residential roofs. There may be large, heavy HVAC components and other mechanical equipment installed on your roof. Some even have gardens or solar panels. The roof is usually much larger and probably has many more openings, so it is not surprising that most commercial roof installation jobs take longer to complete. Even after your commercial roof installation is complete, you should plan for more regular inspections and maintenance than is needed for a typical residential roof.
